WHY VÅGA?

Whether it’s running in the Summer sun or Winter snow, protection from the elements should always be at the forefront of one's mind.  At Våga our sole purpose is to offer this protection and to do so with an air of style. 

When we run in a world where even the most marginal gain can be the difference between finishing or not, the question shouldn’t only be “why Våga” but also “why not”?  

At Våga we took the original concept of a running cap, dissected it, then rebuilt from the ground up.  The short peak was our first major change which went against the conventional grain.  We couldn’t get our heads around why most running caps adopted a long structured peak as this only made the product heavier, claustrophobic and bulkier.  Our adaptation was to shorten the peak to 5cm and make it malleable.  By doing this we saved on weight, increased peripheral vision and created a packable product.  At all times whilst doing so though we made sure the consumer was protected from the dangers of the sun.  The next area we targeted was breathability and performance.  All Våga caps have a built in, highly absorbent sweatband and use cool mesh technologies to wick moisture away from the head to the outside of the product.  The result is a fast drying product which weighs less than 50g.  The final thing left to do was styling.  It was important to us that Våga products were instantly recognisable from a distance as we take great pride in all who wear Våga to feel part of the team we’ve built.  Famous for their colours combinations and subtle embellishments there is something for everyone in every Våga range released. 

As the company develops, so too does its offering.  Våga now offers an extensive range of Summer and Winter products which serve a purpose on both the road and trail.  Like the runners who wear our products we’re constantly moving forwards and are always working on bettering our offering to give you the edge.
